F7 vs. LRD adjustable

this project is being put on hold indefinately, and the only way to do a proper comparison is to put it on the same bike 1 run after the other,
anyway, i just put this on my sons bike today to do the heat cycles on my fresh ken oconnor motor (the crank went out), and lemme tell you this pipe is a pain in the azz to install, the tab that is supposed to mount on the top a-arm bolt isnt even close, so it'll get a bracket this week, the tube the stinger hooks to is a different bend than anything i have ever seen, i had to cut the bend off my boys f7 silencer to get it to mate up, and it'll need a bracket for the rear silencer bolt, it has it hangin a little lower and out than normal < so it just found its new permanent home
it's also leaking where the 2 halves of the expansion chamber slide together, so it'll be getting high temp siliconed

i have an lrd silencer on my bike with my f7, but it would need cut also to fit this damn thing
all that work aint gonna happen to do it over again for a comparison, way too much F'in around
my guess is that if this pipe was so good, they'd still be making and selling them

mythbusters is gonna call this test a bust

i've always wanted to try that pipe out.....

thats just too bad that we aren't gonna get an A-B comparo....

you know you will have a mob o blaster fools over there to help :D

i'm not even gonna be able to compare it to how my sons bike ran before, cause
motor magician oconnor did his new head mod to it, so it's definately gonna run better

/\/\/\ kens new designed head F'in rips, go for it !!!!!

yup.............the frequency that the blaster gets ridden (very little) means that burning a few gallons of racegas is oky doky with me lol.

and its gonna get a brando ported jug too, thanks to some links that Ken posted, but i'm going to be going a little deeper and using some software to help out

sounds good bro, keep us posted when ya do the porting and all, pics too !!!!!

yup, wish i had all of the tools to do it properly... but i make do

and now i have a whole basement to work in :D:D:D

no, no more workin in front of the tv, just some good metalz on pandora lol.

there's a chance i'll be takin the beast out and putting it on a dyno too

/\/\/\ that may or may not be true ???? my f7 came used with the lrd silencer, and my sons blaster came with the f7/ correct silencer, but the pipe was in horrid condition, and this lrd is mint,
whats your thoughts on "adding a silencer not giving any performance gains",
then how would it effect any pipe ???

derrrr, everyone knows you have to rtv the adjustable sleeve. Orrrrrr itll spit out carbon, like expected from a leaky pipe. And just to clear it all up. The LRD's adjusted all the way out (2") is for bottom end, and all the way in for top. The happy medium is usually 1" out. might need new hardware though. They rip on banshee's.

ahhhh derrrrrrr, go fug yourself, everyone does not know about this pipe, quite a few bro's were interested in the comparison, and nobody else chimed in that has one for pointers, since your so fuggin brilliant, and know everything, who on here has one ???

I know lots about them. They were hard to manufacture and the adjustments to the powerband were slight to say the least. They didn't sell very well and the cost to build between the 1 and 2 piece compared to the sales of each led to the death of the 2 piece.

The better of the 2 pipes was the adjustable one.

/\/\/\/\ i would expect you to know about them boss, and i remember back in the day reading tests on them in one of the atv mags, but the price on this one just couldnt be beat, FREE !!!!!, and its in way better shape than the painted pitted F7 that came on my sons bike, my F7 will be staying put on my bike !!!!!!!
