im making my own extended swing arm out of a stock swing arm and some flat stock steel... i just want to know what size i should go with? i was think 2" just so i have a little extra traction and doesn't look to big and wont make it hard to turn. i do a lot of trail riding.but what i have been reading a lot of people say to go 3" i just want to know what everyone thinks...ill make a post of the DIY swing arm when i start.

i thought it was going to look bad... but it looks great nice and tall. thanks for your help. ill probably go with the +4. im sure ill probably look less dumb on the bike it its bigger... im 6'5" so i look kinda funny

yea im thinking about getting wheel spacers for now.. but i dotn know waht size to get ether.. i was thinking about getting the 5" ones they are the same price as the 2.5 and 3's... but someone told me that maybe to wide. or to much on the studs.

i have +5s on my rear, and they work great. would prefer a larger axle but thats alot. dont get front wheel spacers. i would advise you to get longer a-arms, or for a cheaper option, maybe a diamnd j wideing kit.

Go with +3 or +4. I would use channel iron to extend it and flat stock to box it in.I have some pics of a stocker I extended back in the day(+3)and sold to a member here awhile back.If you want to take a peek just to give you an idea p.m. me your email and Iwill send a few over.Good luck.
