ok so im changing my exhust system im taking the stock off and putting on a DG the stock system has the flange on the pipe and the dg does not it is seperate what should i do?

It should have a Flange on the end , if not you will need to get that flange before you install it , I've used a stock head pipe with a DG silencer and it worked fine , No notice in any kind of increase because of the stock head pipe , You should be fine with jetting as well

is it worth taking the stock off and putting the dg header on or just keep the stock header on with the dg tail pipe i ahve the flange for the dg its just not on the pipe its seperate

Well if it was me i would get the flange and put the Dg header on , it weighs less than factory and makes it look a Little better too , You might notice a Slight increase in Throttle response with the full dg pipe , but i highly doubt it

i have the flange for the dg its just not mounted on the pipe .. so what im saying it how do u get the pipe to stay in the flange?

That and the bolts clearly but yes, pipe springs they cost no more than $8. Just about anywhere. Bruce is very correct on the part on little throttle responce. It's been said many times 100 fold that the DG is nothing more than a chromed stock pipe with very little power diff. Good luck and remember that were here to help

pipe springs you said you can buy them anywhere like walmrt or like an advance auto?

I would try auto parts place before walmart , check to see if you have any motorcycle shops or repair places , call and ask if they have any spare dirtbike parts , most stock dirtbikes had the similar flange style and used springs

You have to measure the length between the loop on the Pipe and the loop on the flange. Each system is a litte different. After you measure it, get a spring that's a little shorter than your measurement, like 1/2" or 3/4" or so.

typically between 70-80mm in length also try an online source or your local dealership/parts store will almost definatly have them on hand if they want to be even a decent shop. but like I said no more than $8 or so usally $4-5 for a pair of them.

I do believe that the DG breathes a little better and will require a larger main jet.

I would be slipping in a #260 and doing a plug chop to confirm.

I bolted mu flange up, using a new crush washer and held it tight into the flange when I tightened the bolt under the tank and didn't use any springs. If it leaks any, it's not enough to notice. I don't think there is even any of the seepage on the down tube that's so common.

I have DG full system on mine and i don't se any difference. i would keep stock one on and save for a better one like toomey or something like that if you want power and sound.
