well i was thinkin bout gettin a different exhaust since i dont like the sound of my fmf (to much ping ping) so do yalll think i could run and f7 or lrd ? i have boyseen reeds, carb jetted, no air box lid(stock filter)

You do understand that that's inherent to a 2 stroke motor right?
Perhaps you should try repacking your silencer if the sound of your current exhaust is not to your liking.

I was thinking the same thing but wasn't going to respond, On a stock motor you might have minimal top end improvement with an f7 or LRD but only real bonus is cooling being that they are right bend.....
The "ping ping" is inherent to A.M. exhausts though, most are thinner material then the stock pipe for weight savings so you are going to hear this regardless of choice. I'd beg to differ that re-packing will change this...but will give a little different sound unless your packing is good.
I didn't say repacking was going to make it sound like a blown BB chevy... I said it MIGHT help. It also may not change the hollow "ping ping" of the head pipe at all.
Sorry, wasn't arguing just believe in your latter statement that the ping is not the silencer just head pipe....and what are you taking about, mine sounds like a redlined Mopar....hehe J/KI:I
Hehe my dad's stroked out wild ported trinity motor sounds like a 69 charger with those through the hud blowers, especially when it idls. FMF pipes typically have that ping sound that your refering to with quads. Even when by buddy took his whole exhaust off to repack it i still noticed it had a raspy ping to it. As far as exhausts I use a Toomey B1 kit $359 and very well worth it great long lasting chrome finish, great price for the money, fantastic power much more power on top than FMF. I've heard good things from LRD's but there about $389 I I'm gonna buy one anytime soon.

me too. if you here ping ping then yur not riding it enough. maybe push on that lever and you wont here it.lol
