My blaster has been running oddly (bogging slightly, running a little lean) and while riding today I've noticed that the exhaust (stock) sounds like it has a hole in it. Well after letting it sit for a bit, I started it up to warm it up, and I saw smoke coming from the header, I looked down at it, and.....Theres a metal......Its hard to explain, between the port and the header, and theres a gash in it all the way around. What is this part called, can I hurt my blaster running like this, and can I get a new one?

i believe you mean the exhaust gasket/ring, be hard for me to tell without seeing it, since i'm the big bad stranger and aint allowed to come look, but i have a few of those, brand new, layin around here, free for the asking

ive BEEN running it for awhile. nothings went wrong, just seems to be getting hotter quicker, and ill take a picture tomorrow.
geting hoter quiker is lean dont run it til u get it fixed and thats why u anit got no power also
oh its got power. i can hear the metal piece clanking around when i hit a jump. Shes got power, plenty, just bogs a slight bit at low rpms.
hotter quicker means its got a air leak at the exhaust flange , its sucking air back in , you will grenade your motor if you dont fix this .
whats the damn part called? its square, metal, and has 4 bolts on it, one at each corner, its on the exhaust port, before the header.
agreed and i wana say thats why its boging to get ur self a new exhaust gasket and put it on there awk(joes) a good guy hes helped me out countless times

What year is this? Mine is an 03 and only has 2 bolts holding the exhaust to the cylinder. only thing i can think about on my 03 that has 4 bolt...one on each corner is the intake...and the cylinder.
I'm looking at my cylinder right now and that's all i see!

the exhaust flange?? thats a gasket and if a gaskets bad it means u have an air leak and if u have an air leak it means ur sh*ts gonna break if it hasnt already.... put a pic up
I wonder if he means the cylinder itself , and the gasket may be the base gasket ? I dunno , we need pictures dude .
I was thinking cylinder for a second but he said it still ran and had "lots of power" so I don't think that's it! I doubt its the intake... the exhaust only has to bolts!
This leaves only one thing left to say!...You know what it is boys!
