Exhaust leak

I have a f7 exhaust that has a leak between the fatty pipe an the exhaust flange.
Would it benefit me to have it wielded together. Or does it have to be attatched by the spring to keep it flexing? If not what should I do to remove the leak from the equation?

high temp silicone works well and cometic est gaskets come with a semi metalic gasket for that purpose that is tits. absolutly dont weld it

Ok well that answers that. My buddy told me not to weld it also. Thank for the input. I'm picking some up today then.
