i baught a 2005 blaster and the engine wont start? its got a spark and plenty compression, does anyone know what this may be?carb needing cleaned?? thanks

Spark, on time (check flywheel key), compression, fuel (smell plug or add some), and air (check filter and carb slide) and it should go.
And of course, check for crankcase leaks with a leak tester and check your reeds for damage.

ok simple things first...check

ignition - switch on
fuel - petcock on make sure fuel is flowing to carb (2stroke oil in rear tank if not already on premix and fresh fuel)

If it has spark and compression then start at the back an work forward

make sure air filter is clean
Clean carb, check jets, float, then clean it again, and again
check reeds, no breaks or cracks
use a new spark plug

Go from there dude and if its still a no go it there could be underlying issues that we will to look into....she'll go dont worry about that!

Here in Canada we make it easy by just saying:
"Yeah, what he said!" :)
