Last weekend my nephew was riding my 98 Blaster he was driving and said the 4 wheeler lost power. He continued to ride until it quit running (he's a dummy) I tried to kick start the 4 wheeler, and pull it off(jumping the clutch) to no avail. Its not turning over to crank. It had oil in the case and gas. The clutch is very hard to shift? how can I investigate the problem?

do a compression check....and what does the "clutch is very hard to shift" mean????didnt quite follow ya on that one...

Yeah, most likely it is time for a new topend. Do a comp check and then check your reeds to make sure you haven't lost a petal. If compression is low, and you have spark and fuel, then you are looking at at least a ring job, more likely an overbore and new piston.

If such is the case you might want to think about why it went to hell. It might just be it's time or you might need to adjust the jetting after the (hypothetical) rebuild.
