My blaster starts fine but if i give it throttle it will get stuck at that throttle and seems to keep going up and up. Sometimes if i just turn it one and let it idle it will redline on its own but almost never returns to normal. Please help

do you have tors? if so turn the knob on it (on the thing on top of the carb) the whole way out (counterclockwise). try that. if its stilll doin it, tear your carb apart and clean it. be sure to clean the slide real well. if still stickin, take the top off the thumb throttle box, make sure it's clean. can probably just soak her down with WD-40. gotta love that stuff....

I disconnected most of the tors. I could not figure out how to get the wire disconnected from the top of the carb. I also mixed carb cleaner in with the gas and it does not redline anymore but when it gets gas it stays at a higher rpm and comes down slowly. How do i finish disconnecting the tors? I got everything except the part attached to the carb.

look in the DIY section of the forum for the tors disconnect. you put carb cleaner in your gas? lol. just take the carb off and clean it... or at least take the airboot off the back and spray the cleaner on the slide.

i'm going to take the carb off this weekend and give it a cleaning. i just put the cleaner in the gas as a quick fix for now...is there a way to disconnect the hose from the carb without cutting it? i wanna be able to reattach it if i had to.

heres the thing i followed the diy section however there was one part missing. you need to cross the wires off of the thumb throttle. i took the clip off the carb (cut it off) crossed the wires and pluged into the part attached to the wire harness ( where i unpluged the wire from the thumb throttle) had to tune down the carb till the idle kit comes in

!!!!! do not, DO NOT put carb cleaner in the fuel tank to cycle thru to the carb... 99% of all carb cleaning products have jet fuel as the carrier. geez!
