Engine Rebuild

oh wow a 230 blaster??? thats gonna be alot dude.... especially since THERE IS NO SUCH FRICKIN THING AS A 230CC BLASTER!!!! lol just playin dude but i assume its been bored .30 over and you are calling it a 230cc, but thats not how it works, your engine is prolly like a 198cc. a top end can be done for roughly 150 -200 bucks bottom ends are expensive.

alry i dont know much about it. i know it was rebuilt before and oversized piston fitted cause there was extensive damage done to the cylinder wall. i've been quoted different prices, ranging fromm 400euro to 800 euro.
Im new to quad bikes so any help or info would be greatly appriciated.

ahhhh where do you live? yeah if you are over sized to .30 over now you are going to have to go to .40 or .50 if the damage is nasty. putting a new piston on is veeeeeery easy, with the help of guys here you could easily do it yourself. the only thing you cant do is bore the cylinder to the new correct size, a machine shop would have to do that for ya. what you need to do is take teh cylinder to the shop then they will tell you how far it needs to be bored to clean up the damage, then YOU order the new correct size piston and when it arrives take tehe cylinder AND the new piston back to the shop and they will bore your cylinder to exactly fit THAT piston. thats the way it needs to be done. good luck man. oh and 400-800 is a absolute ASS RAPEING!!!!!! just so you know lol

thanks alot man for the help. i thing the quote for 800 euros was the hole engine, bearings, new shaft, reeds, everything.i only had the quad 6 hours and i blew up the engine, i'm too hard on things ha

it probally has a airleak someplace, you need to diagnose why it blew up or its just going to do it again with the new topend. its tough to be too hard on a blaster as long as its properly maintained.

yeah man i run the ever livin piss out of mine all the time. they are hard to blow up when they are tuned right. I have run mine wot uphill in the sand for like ten minutes in 100 degree farenheit temp w/o hurting it. do the build yourself and have it bored just ask lots of questions here. and make sure your machinist has two stroke exp.
