engine mounts

today i hit a big stump and broke the two front engine mounts, luckily it didnt break anything else, but im gonna weld them sometime this weeke but the bolt that goes through the engine is so badly rusted into the case i cant get it off, i was wondering if i weld really close to the case, will it get too hot and mess anything up?

lucky man! thank god you didn't break the cases. get a skid plate man if you're ridin over stumps. lol

For the 15 seconds that you will be welding, It will not hurt those cases and won't get anything too hot- may even loosen up that bolt and you'll be able to get it out , clean it up and put some anti-sieze on it so ya wont ever have that issue again!
