Has anyone heard or see anybody add a cooling fan to their blaster... Maybe like ones you see on street bikes.. and would it even do anything??

I run for hours and hours and some times I hit long straight trails then go hill climbing...I want to add fins like everyone else but I don't know where to get them... I was just thinking about the fan cause I'm adding a battery and I wanted to see if anyone know if they would work...

project blaster makes some good ones. i have some actually, its like ram air for your balls in a trail; which is nice.8-|

blasterfreek makes some too, you might be able to talk him into makin a set for your but youd have to take that up with him.

lol how much do they run...

if your jetting is right, you do not need a fan, unless as mentioned, you idle for a long time. but of course, there is NO harm in adding one! you may have to edit your stator to get more power out of it. phragle had posts a while back where he added huge lights and discussed how to float the ground or something.

I've been told...06 Honda 450r fan will fit if u fab some brackets. U wire it your stator and it runs all the time

The fan would have to be added to the rear of the engine. Adding it to the front would more than likely just decrease the airflow you would get at higher speeds without it being in front of the engine. I would agree that in low speed or idling conditions it would be more ideal, but at the same time I just run my pilot/mixture screw settings slightly rich to compensate.

05 trx450r fan will work as well ...met a guy in glamis who had one sitting between his project blaster shrouds... i have 2 05 trx 450r cooling fans by the way...wouldnt mind selling one :)

also if you stop the bike and keep the motor running it wont let the motor really heat up and if you rev the motor high when holding in the clutch it will give you air when ever the motor is hot or if it is sitting dead stop i have been wanting to get 1 because i saw one on a 300ex and wanted 1 good mod it will keep your motor really cool rep given for thinking of such a outstanding mod!!!!!!!!!!! 100% you should get 1

I run a ninja 250r radiator fan and a 120mm computer fan with my dt200r stator. You can also wire in a points style capacitor to the stock stator to prevent running the battery. I also have 2 spare aircooled motors one of which has a dt stator/flywheel (blaster flywheel is heavier), and have been contemplating running a fan just need another chassis.

Thats what I was thinking . low speed it would be good but not high speed... I just hate running the bike for hours and then having to stop to let it cool down...I'm thinking the shrouds might be the only thing I need.....thanks speedemon17 for the rep ... One day I might be bored and just put one on....lol
