Im having an issue with me 2001 blaster cutting out at speed, acts like it runs out of fuel. i have checked the fuel shut off and noticed that in the on position it doesnt flow as well as in the reserve position. I tried running with it in the reserve position and I get the same result. I can make it down the block before it wants to die. If I let it idle a bit I can make it back to where I started, but if I run at speed for any length of time it will quit. Anyone have any suggestions?

sounds like you need to adjust your float level. While you have your bowl off, check your needle and seat to make sure it doesn't have anything plugging it

could you give me a bit of instruction on how to adjust the float from its current setting, I have to apologize but I am a newbie. Thank you

when you take off your bowl, your float will be hanging from the top part of the carb. The float has a little tab that sticks out in the middle, bend it down just a little bit, like a 1/16th of an inch. It doesn't take much. This will allow the bowl to hold more fuel.

That did the trick, i bent the float ever so slightly, running like a champ again. Thank you very much for you help.
