my blaster is making a very loud clicking sound when i rev it high, like two pieces of metal hitting, or wires sparking or something:-/. and it sounds like its coming from my engine

wow so im not the only one with this problem. Mine started doin it tonight when i was rideing. And its only when i hit the power band. Its weird cause its not smokeing or nothin so i dont think its blown up. idk i need an answer for this as well.
Yeah I agree, sounds like a rod bearing. The BIG BOSS aka wife's bike started to kinda click at idle. Quad was shifting fine cranked up great. Bearing went out, thrust washer let go took out the piston,rings and now I am looking to do a rebore. I should of pulled the top end. Little bit of time saves tons of CASH. Good luck
mine sounds fine at idle and all the way up until it hit my powerband. then its a little click that you can hear. and im not entirly sure its my engine.
id think thats normal as well but,mine just started doing that the other night. its never done that before.
i would check your motor mounts, exhaust mounts first and make sure there tight and the noise might go away first before tearing down the engine. might save you some time and money before you get too far. if all seems tight then it might be a rod bearing,crank bearing,counter balance bearing that's possibly making the noise. a lot of times a stethascope will help you zero in on where the noise is coming from if you happen to have one laying around .
