EFI banshee

i would have a hard time spending that on fuel injection for my quad, but i could do it for cheaper than that

It'd be tough 2 efi carbs a battery set up and a computer to run it. Not sure how this set up is easier you'd have to reprogram for every new mod. I'd rather deal with jets and needles.

first off, there isn't two EFI carbs, there is 2 throttle bodies. and you dont have to reprogram after every new mod.

My point is I pull the tors off and go with pods. I put 2 300 mains in I'm good to go. I get aggressive port go to 320s. Seams easier. I park bike for a while and I don't worry about a battery. If banshee came with it I wouldn't take it off but I wouldn't pay 2 grand for it

when I get my 34mm Keihin I'm going to put the updated dial a jet on it , Yeah I have a real problem spending 2k on a megasquirt for a quad , well if money was no object then I'd do it , but it is , so I ain't . I mainly want it so I can race Pikes Peak , at that altitude I'd never get standard jetting right ( especially because the altitude changes so fast from 9000 feet to 14,400 feet .

i like on the intelajet( the updated one) that if the altitude changes, u can just use the dial to adjust accordingly

A battery is not required for EFI. Look at some of the snowmobiles. The Arcticar f6 is a fuel injected two stroke and doesn't have a battery. I am going to put a system like that on my LT.

i could efi a quad for 500 bucks including install and mapping. that price is insane.

Lets break this down.

megasquirt 150 bucks
fpr 20-30 bucks
walbro 255 or something close 85 bucks
couple of 170cc injectors pending on bike. free-10 bucks at yard.
gm 3 bar map 15 bucks at yard.
Lines wires connectors 50 bucks.

I could do this even cheaper on tbi...........

Lot of in the box thinking in this thread. And idiocy. Efi will always be better atomization is better. tuning is just as easy hell all i do on all my cars is hook my laptop up go for a few runs log the runs check the data and change accordingly. sh*t my blasty now cruises at 15.7 and 1050 egts. Why becasue i have a wideband and egt hooked to my quad to log data and pulls. When i drop the hammer down it shoots down to the low 11's for afr's and it pulls like a rapped ape. If i could get my cruise on efi into the 17's it would rock for fuel mileage.

Everyone who says efi sucks are all the same people who said the qudrajet sucked and the same people who said tbi sucked so on and so forth.

This price is nuts and way over the top for some pre assembled junk and a base map that probably runs so rich its not even funny.

yeah Dude, but only because you already have some of the goodies. Think about someone who doesn't have a wideband and EGT or any tuning knowledge...

Sheeblast, you would have to remap for any mods. Anything you'd have to change a jet for (except for altitude) would require an adjustment.

Motoman, the artic cat system is designed to be used like that and probably quite proprietary. The Microsquirt system needs constant voltage and it has to be CLEAN voltage too. No fluctuations. You would need to setup a battery but you wouldn't necessarily have to run a charging system... you would then be a slave to the battery life but for someone who has even $500 to eek out the gains from EFI on a 2 stroke quad, having to recharge the battery every so often wouldn't be that bad...

Ture that on the megasquirt voltage. Any spikes and it resets and casues all kidns of hell.
tuning is just as easy just more info to learn. People that dont want to learn anything new are the people who say efi sucks. Why i dunno lack of drive to better or learn something....sure carbs work great but efi works great as well. Its nice to see a company packaging a setup but it wont sell to anyone other than the high end quad builders of the world.

Once upon a time i did not know anything about efi tuning either. It took me 6 head gaskets and dozens of pistons in my 73 240z at 25psi of boost from a gt35 before i got good ;)

true, but with EFI, you can runner more efficent AFR, you dont need to change for temp or elevation change. and you wouldn't have to remap for every mod.
plus like dude said, you just hook it up to your laptop and it is just a few clicks here and there and you are good.
