I am in the process of cleaning and sanding my frame. I am prepping it to be painted. I just wanted everyone to know an easy effective way of removing rust from steel, its cheap vinegar. I remember my father telling me this when I was younger and gave it a try today. It cleans it off pretty fast. Make sure you rinse it off well once your done because it is Acetic acid.

i personally think it does. Its cheaper and leaves no oils on the surface, but after doing this put something over it to protect the surface from rusting. Polish, paint, etc. Its good to prep with. Make sure you rinse it off well after you done it is Acetic acid. Just added that above also.

thx, zwiser.
