any trick to it? anything i should know before hand. does it cause any crazy electrical problem or anything. disconnect it. block off plate goes on. disconnect at the bars

no trick to it. Just do everything you stated. Make sure you unplug the sensor the goes to the parking brake/clutch lever otherwise the quad won't rev up
