Ebay swingarm and what size?

i've been considering one of his swingarms myself. was thinking a +4 or +6 and couldn't decide so thought maybe a +5 which he said he will build. i have the 2 inch extension on my stock swinger right now. lets see some pics of that 465.

I am leaning towards +8 just because of the powerplant. The previous owner said it will flip you ass over tea kettle in any gear with the stock blaster swingarm. The only thing is that with +8 I would think it wouldn't be as strong as a smaller stretch.

well u got to remember u are going to ride on the trails ur losing maneuverability with a +8 u wont be able to go very far, i would say a +3 to a +5 max

yeah, that's cool. dirty, but cool.

Very dirty!!! It is going to my father in laws fab shop in a couple weeks to get some custom exhaust work done. While its there I am going to clean up the welds and once I get is back home I want to strip it all down and paint it. I hope I can find a good deal on a full plastic set that is in good shape. The previous owner routed the stock 465 motorcycle piping through the plastics. It's so ugly!

That's exactly what I was thinking just now. Do I really want to make this thing a permanent sand machine? Probably not. +5 does seem like a good compromise.

Some have issues with the swingarm shop not holding up well to real rough usage. If parts wern't such a beech I'd do one of those swaps in a nano second.

ive heard awile back that the swingarm shop swingarms are dangerous and break easy. and dude you mine as well make that a sand dune machine if your putting a +8 on

That's some scary information. You would think that he wouldn't have 100% feedback but then again it will take some time for the welds to break and by that time the buyer would have already left positive feedback. I could have it strengthened up. It just seems like such a good deal.

31 and riding a blaster how kool...............

i had heard bad things about those swingarms too but heard he has heavy duty ones now or maybe they all are now. something to do with the shock mount, i think. another person said he had one for a couple years and never had a problem with it.

I probably will get one of his but will have some reinforcing done to it before I install it, just in case.

has a bore of like 80mm?? i cant remember right off the top of my head

85mm lol. I just started the 465 for the first time today since I got it a couple weeks ago. Two monster kicks and it fired right up. I tried rolling it down my concrete driveway to start it at first to save my leg but all it did when I let the clutch out was stop dead in it's tracks. Must have good compression! The thing sounds mean as hell. One thing I did notice and I dont know if its a thing about old big bore bikes or that I was too scared to get into the power band but it felt like I had power/torque from the bottom of the RPM's and didnt really feel the kick of a power band like I do on my RM125. Not complaing about lack of power though!!
