Easy question about oil injection

I bought a blaster that was apart and needed a top end build. Im reading that there is an oil inection system on it. Any way easy to identify I dont need to mix? I do not see a resivoir anywhere nor a tube to feed the carb with oil. It came with a 240 kit on it and I just put a new piston in it last night and gonna crank it this weekend...Just trying not to ruin it too quick.

I have and am very familiar with honda 250rs but never messed with a blaster so jsut trying to be a lil cautious.

Thanks in advance.

the oil mixes itself if theres not a already a block off kit on it already theres a oil tank under the seat to put your oil in

If there is no feed or oil tank under the seat then you will be premixing! I would defo look in to it more before you even start it up man!

The kid that had it before me said he ran 4oz / gal of gas in it so I assumed that the injector is off. He only had it for a few months and trashed the top end (ring broke). I do not see any oil resiviri or any hose going to the carb, other than the 2 wires plugged in the harness. Ill pull the plastic off to check if it has a block off plate. Just making sure. Im gonna run 32:1 927 in it and thats what Ive always ran in my other bikes, except for alky on my last bike. I bought it to play around on and then flip it to make money from. There are a ton of deals out there right now with the holdiays so Im scooping up what I can play around with. Bought this 2004 blaster for 400 in decent condition with a trashed top end. Ended up being a 240 kit on the first bore. The cylinder was perfect so I honed it and ordered another vitos piston and put it in last night.

yeah sounds like it has a block off on it double check just to make sure and if there is there should be a rubber stopper where the hose goes to the carb so theres not to much air

32:1 is perfect i would say! Sounds like you got a great deal there bro nice one! With the 240 kit i would go for a forged piston, weisco, think vitos pistons are a tad soft!

The piston I got from vitos looked better than the piston that was in it. He told me on the phone that it may. The original piston had no indication marks or anyhting on the top. The new one has the ex and arrow markings like all other pistons Ive seen. Im excited to break it in, Hadnt rode a blaster in forever. Im sure it will be fun with the lil 240 kit on it. Im going to put some new yamaha OEM decals on it to dress it up and then put it for sale once its decently broke in. Any Idea on the value? I was guessing 12-1500? Ill post pics once I get it all decent this weekend.

Vitos piston is made by weisco so u have nothing to worry about there I just bought the super stock piston from them. As for ur oil injection block off make sure he actually used the block off plate on ur side cover cause just pulling all ur lines and leaving the pump in there can cause the wheel to seaze on the pump and break causing big problems

As for the sale price 15 is a long shot unless u get someone who really wants it most blasters even all decked out barely get 12 at least around me and is it an actual 240 kit or just bored 40 over?

we need pix dude! any other mods? an 04 blasty will sell at 12 all day fifteen might take some time depending on your area. better check out that jetting too if you haven't

Not sure of pricing man, am in the Uk i paid £800 $1300 for a bog standard 2004 blaster! Make sure you do proper heat cycles when breaking it in! Then run full tank of fuel but don't open it right up mate! Then should be good to go! Thats if you want it to last! Check the search bar! It will give you good info on breaking in after top end rebuild! Infact there is a youtube vid of Ken O'Conner Racing showing you how to do it properly, worth a watch man ;-) let us know how it rides when you do! I'am putting a ported 240 on mine in the spring ;-)

It is a real 240 kit. It's got the 72mm piston and now I'm thinking I think the piston box had Wiseco on it. I'm gonna do a few heat cycles before getting on it. Ill get some pics once its all together. It's nothing special lol. Just a blue 2004 that looks like a kid had it lol. I love 2 strokes...

This was my dune bike

Be sure to leak test it before you place your foot on the kickstart.

It would be good to know what jets are in the carb, to see if they suit your mods.

What pipe do you run?

The pipe is an fmf, main jet is a 320 and pilot looks like a 30.

I watched a few vids of a top end rebuild and it said for the flat part of the copper head gasket to be on the clutch side but the Vito's head gasket is clearly labeled "up" and its on the flywheel side?

FYI thats a pre 2003 blaster.. Run the vin to find out exact year.
Front brakes, nose, fenders, and the front brake lever has the emergency brake cable for the rear mechanical brakes give it away :)

Just informing you is all.
