e-85 in a two stroke?

e-85 is 100+ octane 110 i think? anyhow wondering if anyone has used e85 in high compression two strokers

or maybe i need to read a book instead of wonder about blasters

I think SCD knows a bit about using it. I've read about people using in other 2 strokes with good results. My personal dealings with it as a performance application have been in boosted FI engines with quality engine management systems.

i'v looked into it, it is possible, i forget the name of the company but there is a place that has a e85 banshee that kicks ass, it is just a hard expensive thing, the first problem is the jetting because it burns similar to alchohol it will need a huge jet (like drilling one out big hah) from what i heard it isn't good on rubber gas lines or intake boots either, takes alot of knowledge and to me a little too much time over just running something on race gas

it does destroy gas lines n carbs that arent made for it,and also needs a lot more fuel/air ratio so thats why bigger jets

seen e85 in a few cars, one was a turboed higher then "normal" compression that ran a 9 second 1/4 on street tires

i think e85 would be more usefull in a 4 stroke with 54/1 compression or some crazy number that needs higher octane, without 8 dollar gallon race gas

I just stick to 93, never tried any higher.

any higher rating actually decreases performance unless your runin higher compression

love it when people run race gas on a stock motor and brag about how much more power it makes
