dyes instead of paint

Mine worked great! Used hot hot water (no boiling water needed) in a 3 gallon plastic bucket and Tulip liquid dye. It said half the bottle for 1 lb of fabric well I used the whole thing for 2 small nets lol. Stirred it up like it said on the directions for an hr and then let it sit overnight (directions said 3 hrs). Let it dry and resoaked them for another 8 hrs. Came out nice and black. The only thing that didn't take the dye was the stitching. I think its some sort of plastic or nylon. Im gonna hit it with some paint maybe. For 4 bucks I am more than happy with the results!!I:I

I dyed my netting before as well. They used to be on a blue blaster so I had to dye them black. Did the same thing, just let them sit overnight. They came out nice and black except for the blue stitching like you said. They're starting to fade back to my blue though.
