does my main jet sound right

its a 280 main jet with a fmf slip on and .040 over bore wiseco does that sound right to anyone still gana do a plug chop but j/w
 
First of all, Where do you live? Whats your avergae temperature for winter? Do you have your airbox snorkel off or on or do you have your whole airbox lid off?
 
just a power core slip on no pipe and i have the snorcle and lid on just like 4 holes in the lid and the lowest id ride it at is the mid 20s other than that its way to cold i might not even ride in that cold
 
Stock is 230. I've got the same exhaust mod you have right now. i think im running 230 or 240. If your in high elevation, jet slightly richer. if your low in elevation, jet lower. I'd say you would be better off with anywhere from 250-280. Just do some plug chops.
 
well a silencer does almost nothing for performance on a blaster almost all the power is made in the header.
did you try to run the quad??
in the winter i would prolly jet it to either 250-260 with what you have done
 
thats about it i was asking cause my quad keep reving like the throtle got stuck but id check the throthle evertime and it wasnt that and some ppl told me they think its runin lean so i figured id ask but im gana do a plug chop to be sure other than that no problems with it but it hasnt done it in awhile since i plyed with the throtle cable so dik i just wana be sure

yeah sometimes the throttle cable casing can pull out of the tors unit and that will make it rev up real high...
do you have an aftermarket header too
 
no just the slip on getin a shearer full exhaust and a port job crankshaft but i gota get the money and stuff first and i dont got the tors i got the block off kit on it but hasnt done it in awhile but i still wana do a plug chop make sure everythings all good on it right now i got a 240 wiseco piston aftermarkt carb forget wat size boysen power reeds and i got chain and sporkets 12/40 gearing im gana change that cause i got like everthing off my bros quad cause it was all like brand new cause after we rebuitl the carb the top end and everything it didnt run so it was brand new parts so i stole them lol

so which carb do you have??
do you have a keihen (the choke goes pulls up)
or a mikuni (the choke pulls to the side)
 
yea i gota get it out cause i took my carb off to chek the main jets and its toghether it was so cold and i went in cause i got gas on my hands and that made them realy cold but all i gota do is tightin the clamps and then its ready to go
