do i need the conical spring washer behind my clutch?

was wondering if i need the conical spring washer behind my clutch? im finishing up a complete rebuild and wen i took the clutch apart it was there. i didnt have ne problems with my clutch b4 so i was wondering if i needed it or not. thx for the help!

It is part of the assembly and I do believe that it is required .

ok its just wierd cuz it was nvr in there b4 and i didnt have a problem with my clutch

most certainly is required, and must be installed properly.
