i might be getting a dmc exhaust sytem from a member here. he has an aftermarketcarb and doesnt know jet size. i currently run a stock carb and was wondering what the jet size and needle postion needs to be for a dmc exhuast for a blaster? thanks

I have a DMC, the starting point with stock carb will be 270 without airbox lid, 260 with it. Start with the needle in the third position (DMC startinging suggestion is fourth but I would not mess with needle). Do not mess with the pilot which should be 32.5. This is sea level jetting. A rough rule of thumb is that you would drop one main jet size for every 1000 ft you go up in elevation.

depending on air box lid, start with what I have recommended and do a plug chop to check. I personally tend to jet slightly on the rich side as you are more likely to cause problems on the lean side.

IMO the DMC is the best sounding blaster pipe...period, and one of the best (performance wise) for stock to mildly modded engines.

thanks alot!!! i couldnt find any info anywhere!! do u know where i can get the silencer tube that connects the pipe to the silencer this one is split? and how do u do a plug chop?

Ok, so the DMC is a three piece exhaust. there should be the chamber, mid-pipe and silencer. I know they make replacement mufflers but you will have to contact them if you need a mid-pipe and I would not buy it without one.

DMC replacement website:
DMC Blaster Replacement Muffler [ZZ-25438-04] - $159.95 : Official DMC Online Store for ATV and UTV Exhaust Systems and Slip Ons, Home of the Dual and Twin Exhausts

Any local shop or rockymountainatv.com will have jets.

Lastly just use search option for plug check

im gonna weld the mid pipe or use my extra toomey one thats just layin around or buy mid pipe but i put in the number for the mid pipe the guy gave me and it turned up as no results

the guy gave me the parts number for the mid pipe and jetting information different from yours but here ya go
Here is a copy of our instructions for the Blaster system.

Please feel free to call us if you have any questions.

Yea, I also think mine is the best sounding pipe out of mine and my friends blasters, but the 20% increase in h.p. and the 35% increase in torque that DMC claims is relative. I do think that DMC does an excellent job explaining this here:

I have found it to be a very good exhaust system for stock to mildly modded 200 blaster motors though. As AWK has pointed out a right bend gives better cooling
but I would not replace my DMC for any other left bend. I also love the design of the anodized silencer - In your vid it looks like you have an older one you can see mine in my build in sig

I have however considered trading up for a right bend for my new engine build
