So I picked up my blaster a few weeks ago and have not stopped messing with it since. It had a popped piston so we did the big bore and when reassembling it we realized that the stock airbox was busted. Somehow the previous owner in his infinite skill and wisdom managed to bust the airbox on an otherwise perfect set of rear fenders. I knocked this out in a few hours this evening and hopefully it will work out well.We run a performance shop and had all this stuff laying around so we tigged up some mandrel bends and built an airbox, powdercoated all the parts to match the rest of the build, and hopefully will have the lid done tomorrow. Oh yeah and the reducer at the carb IS a small velocity stack so hopefully it will have minimal turbulence. Anyway here are some pics.

Nice. That will help out a bunch. The stock air box is horrable. Looks pretty good. Crxbart anf myself are fabbing our own airboxes as well

sweet ,now throw a fat K&N fitler in their instead of that gross foam one

Nice Work But I'm Really Digging The Turbo In The Background.

What Is That Going On?

Domestic Or Import Shop?

LOL I got that filter out of the trash. Its like a 4 inch inlet filter anyway so its not being used I just had to put something in it for an illustration.

As for the massive turbos in the background....The polished one is going on the shops drag car and the orange one is going on a time attack car we are building for a customer. We specialize in Subaru performance but have since started to get into a lot of SRT-4 stuff and EVO's. Honestly I think Im going to test this airbox and if it works as well as I hope I will send it to China or Taiwan and have it made and sell them for like 50 or 60 bucks.

I Work At A Scooby Dealership. Kewl.

No More, Moved Away From The Shop.

That's Why I Got Back Into Atv's

So I finally got it back together and rode it yesterday and WOW!!! It made a huge difference. It killed a massive dead spot in the higher RPMs and I even had to richen it up a whole jet size so I know its definitely getting more air. I just have to get my carb and pipe on and I will be all set! This thing is turning out to be not such a turd after all. Im a big boy and I bought it just to fix, flip, and make some quick cash to buy a big quad but I am seriously thinking about keeping it.
