If your talking about the clutch disks. And not the rubbers inbetween the aluminum basket and steel drive with gear. The disk are installed by installing a fiber fist then a steel. If the steel plates have alittle tab on them install first at 12 o'clock then a fiber then steel at 2 o'clock. Then fiber 4 o'clock for the steel and so on. So start with a fiber then steel and at the end it should finish with a fiber disk.

If u dont ave rubber in yours you got a problem. Theres a pic of a post i found on it and a pic of mine to prove the mythical rubber thing

Looks good. Alittle locktite on the bolts would be a good idea. What basket did you get?
The wiesco forged basket i believe it comes with all the bolts and hardware but unsirenif i should buy new rubber thjngs for the basket
If they are not deformed and fit tight you could reuse them. But new is not a bad idea.
They dont show any wear on the or anything and i just want to get this clutch in so ill reuse them my new china carb came in today but i dont think im going to use it i found a new oem carb i could get im not sure if the carb on it is bad but it just wouldnt idle so ill tackle the carb issuse next along with the top end rebuild then im onto suspension and steering parts. Im looking foward to the results of my leakdown test as soon as i rig up a tester and lets prey shes sealed up tight
Definitely do not use that copy carb, it will more then likely blow the top end. In my many years fooling with blasters I have only seen one care that was completely useless and not fixable and that was do to it sitting for twenty two years, so I know if your carb runs the quad then it can definitely be repaired. As for the cushions, it doesn’t matter which slots the D shape vs round go in just as long as you have two D’s in a slot together.
As for the leak down test, be prepared for leaks bud, most everyone gets them but it nothing to be discouraged over. Blasters are known to leak from the reed cage/intake area, header joint and they are also known to leak right where the cases join together right underneath the cylinder base. If you do encounter a leak, just take care of it then re test and you should be good to go.

The ball joints are supposed to move smoothly but should take slight pressure to move them. You never want the joint to just bounce around in it’s socket. In my opinion a stiffer joint is better then a loose joint all day everyday day.
If the joint has some corrosion and the joint is not fluid as it should be then stick it in a vice and slightly warm up the joint (without the rubber cover of course) and keep packing grease in the joint while working it in a circular motion until the joint moves smoothly again. If this doesn’t work then your out of luck.

Giggity. We have two molds that we use for testing. The "buttons" are about .250" in thickness, and about .450-.500 in diameter. The other one is about four times that size.

Going to pick up some parts that were delivered still says my clutch basket isnt delivered that is the final broken item i need to replace but my gasket set is in im going to throw the top end back together i made the decisiont not to touch the top end yet look pretty freshly rebuilt and i think i have life left if that piston and cylender and hey i blow er up ill bring it back to stock
