Iv just bought a blaster yfs200n 6 speed and I need to know if there are any differences between the years of 2000 through 2002 for the spark plug wire and the carb rebuild kit also if I should look into a bigger carb cause its bored over to about a 250 or so

carb stuff and plug wires are the same.Stock carb should be fine. Are you sure it isn't bored .50 over.It is not possible to bore to 250cc
Thank you. The guy I got it from said that it was bored twice possibly a final third time what would be the max cc if its bored as far as possible while still being safe of course

correct me if im wrong but i think the only difference the blaster had was 03 to 06 have disc brakes in front a different hood and headlight and i think the tors is a little different..you can download a manual on here for free or checkout websites like rockymountainatv or motosports click on oem parts type in your year and it shows a list of parts for sale . or call a yamaha ship dealer also i believe the tenth digit on frame by shift lever is the year.also if you believe it is a 250 it would half to be a different cylinder you can research that as well hope that helps.

A .080 over blaster piston would put it at 207cc's. Max you can go on a stock cyliner without changing a sleeve is .090 over which would make it 209cc.
the biggest piston ive ever seen is a 80, i may be wrong, but to go to the 240 it has to be stroked as well, just boring is not guna do it.

you can buy a 240cc kit, but it requires a new sleeve.

boring .080 over and stroking it will not give you a 240, but more like a 212

The term “ 240Blaster” designates a cylinder that has a 72mm bore with a stock stroke. Stock bore and stroke of a Blaster engine is…… Bore = 66mm X stroke = 57.
If you bore a Blaster cylinder .090” over (or 2.25mm) with a stock stroke, you get a 208cc Blaster.

You can't bore a stock Blaster cylinder to a 240 without installing a big bore sleeve.
You can't install the sleeve.......................but I can.
