Well to day i want to the trails and ran decent except eveytime i got a little water to splash up on the motor it would kill it and id wait 2 or 3 minutes and it start up decently easy but the filter was dry and nothing was abnormally wet any ideas?

Water drowning out your fire. Check your spark plug boot for cracks and trim 1/2" off the end of the wire itself and make sure the wire inside the ignition wire is making good contact inside the boot. Reinstall the boot with dielectric grease inside of it to keep water out.

well if i sat for a sec it would start right back up and if it was wet wouldnt it not start tell it dried up

Yeah it could.. the water makes a quick ground to the HOT cylinder head. The liquid boils off fairly quickly and no longer grounds the fire out. It'll fire back up and drive off until water gets to it again.

The only other thing that comes to mind is a blocked petcock filter... it's possible you were running on a trickle refilling the float bowl until it ran totally out. Once it trickled enough to fill the float bowl again it would restart.

okay is see what your saying they trickle thing isnt it but the plug wire and coil wire could be it thats a good idea

i need some help if someone can help me, my 1990 blaster is idling kinda high when riding but when you try to let it idle, it dies within 5 secs, also when ur riding it when its not idling high it acts like it is cutting in and out, is it the carb needing cleaned or what is it, if someone can help me i would really appreciate it. thank you

^^ thought the same thing but looked at his posts and noob

but my dad said theres some spray i could put on it and probably seal it

Your father may be talking about WD40 or ignition wire dryer. Neither of which I think are worth it. Possibly have a cracked plug cap. Cheap fix to try would be wrap it with electrical tape, better would be liqid electrical tape, best would be new cap maybe wire also.

when i skirt water on the boot it dies your right
i got some like clear coat spray on it and it seals electronics and it doesnt die anymore
but a couple days ago it started when hit the gas it would keep revvin and when it starts up after coolin down it would start and rev high and hang for a sec could this be a air leak

well i did the bubble test for air leaks and i checked the bolts they dont feel loose

and sometimes ill go start it and it will run like a champ but others it will still rev
also where could i get a new boot
