Sewage Drain
Today I decided to take off the carb and clean it.. Havent cleaned it for 2 years so i figuired it would be dirty. But it was suprisingly clean. This is how it looked just after I took it off the quad:

So I just sprayed some carb and choke cleaner in it and cleaned it up. But it really didnt have to be!

umm, what is the greenish blue liquid in it?

alos because a carb looks clean doesnt mean it is.
did you clean it right? take the bowl off, remove the jets and valve and clean them out too?

i didnt do that, my dad did...... thats for him to do.. the greenish blue liquid is from what i used to run my blaster on.... AV Gas..... it was blueish green.... but now i just run it on regular gas

to be honest, no they really dont look clean.
like i said before, just because it looks clean, it doesn't mean it is.
trust me, i cleaned a carb twice before it was clean, the jet was clogged and only taking an air gun to the jets cleaned it out.
also one time, didn't notice the first time, a little strand of straw got into the float valve and keep it open, reason for it leaking fuel all the time.

shee, your never ever ever positive.... seems like you have an unlimited pms... just relax bro, timsyfz was positive about it.... just chiill out bro..

It looks clean!

To completely clean it though is to take off the bowl and spray every part and blow through the jets too, removing all screws, jets and cleanning them also. I have found dirt in places i couldn't imagine it would go- (don't know how the heck it got in there- but it did). If you just sprayed the carb out without taking the bowl off ya may get a piece of dirt down the main jet or in the bowl and then when ya least expect it iot will get sucked up one of the jets.

And Shee you are one of the most negative people on here, give a little praise at least he is trying to keep his equipment maintenanced.

Sounds like you are not paying really good attention when you clean your carbs Maybe you should clean it better the 1st time before you re-assemble it??...

The guy is just stating that it looks clean... Leave him show off his stuff like you tend to.

Im sure he and his dad (as he stated) will take it down and clean the jets, and ports well.

you are right, i didn't the one time. and i was letting him know, because something looks clean, it isn't.
