My blaster had the oil injection removed. It always smoked on wot. So I took the carb apart, saw the stock 230 jet and put my 240 in. Cleaned the slide, put it back together. Pulled the spark plug and it was pretty dirty, so I changed that. Now it runs great. No more smoke on wot. I opened the muffler and it had a coat of oil inside, is that normal? Also removed the tube on the airbox lid and got rid of tors. So did I do good?

Well your not sure if your good with out a Leak down test and A Plug chop , The oil in the Pipe was due to the Smoke issue , Sounds like you should be a Little bigger on the Main . But a Plug chop will confirm which way you need to go !

Removing oil injection and premixing at 32:1 will need a #240 jet.

Depending on the type of air filter, removing the snorkel may call for one or two sizes larger main jet.

Unless it overheats from no air passing over the fins, idling should present no problems if the idle setting is adjusted correctly.

The reason it no longer smokes at WOT could be because you are running on the lean side.

There should always be a wisp of light blue smoke at all throttle openings, more is better than less as it depicts lubrication.

Plug chop with a b8es to confirm your main jet.

I agree with blaaster. you should def have some smoke from the pipe. having oil in your exhaust is very normal. the engine doesn't really burn the oil as much as the fuel carries it through the cylinder and to the crank as a lubricant. most of it just passes through the exhaust and clings to the silencer packing.
