We won a race with it so I have to say yes. But there have been many races at our track won with the fmf also. I dont see a huge difference but I think we did gain some mid-top without losing too much bottom. With our FMF the holeshots were much better but with our port job we kept enough bottom to still see some holeshots as well.

Cool video and congrats on the wins! It's great to see a father/son combo rip'n on blasters and it looks like your son's machine had more quicks than the kid chasing him. Could really tell when your boy got a little hung up in one of the U turns allowing the chaser to catch up.......but then your boy pulled right away from him again. Nice job, Pops, keep'n that thang dialed in!
Thanks Piezzi. The funny thing is we broke a heim joint on the a-arms the week before the race and I ordered the heims without studs Monday then realized it. I then reordered the correct ones Tuesday morning(had to eat the 2 wrong ones). I paid for shipping to arrive Friday.

I pressed the old stud out, sanded the head down and pressed into a plain heim(the wrong ones without studs). My buddy had an air hammer and we were able to mushroom the head around the heim ball the morning of the race. I told him to practice and we would reevaluate. We were going to run just for points if it were questionable. But thank goodness it looked good and I gave him the green flag to go big.
Long story short he raced and had a good outcome. I will have new heims installed before next race in May! Long time off kind of stinks but gives you time to go thru the whole quad again.

We are gonna try for sure. It was a huge confidence booster to win this one. The young man in 2nd finished top 10 at Lorettas in 2011 Schoolboy on that Blaster.
I already started saving all my pocket change to build a Lorettas fund....lol
