Swapped in the 300's for the 280 mains and damn is all i can say!!!

This banshee is stupid fast!plug chops are next ran out of time today but the plugs are a mocha/tan colored and look good but i will plug chop for peace of mind.

But this thing i thought was running good before nothing like now.i retuned the carbs after jetting up and left the jet needles in the middle,27.5 pilots,1.5 turns and it feels dead on!

But i do have a question these toomeys have blued and turned gold at the jug and did so kinda quickly considering the time i have on the engine is this normal?my sst2 setup on my blaster didnt do this as quickly.i know the engine isnt overheating,there no detonation,and the jetting is pretty dialed in im guessing this is the normal ?

Every chrome header ive ever had on a v8 did the same but this aint a sbf so whdt you guys think?

Blueing can be caused by a slightly lean mix, as soon as I noticed mine doing it after a little temp drop, I upped the main jet one.

I was worried that I was detonating but not hearing it!

Dump some #290s in there and do a plug chop to confirm.

Why would i go from 300's to 290's?:-/

I had 280's in before swapping in these 300's and i like the 300's feel so far.

If plug chops confirm the jetting then ill be leaving the 300's in.

Ill have to wait on the vids had a mishap on the blaster with the camera a while back and now for some reason everything it vids/pics is red.

I finally hit full throttle for more than momentarily today probably 5-8 secs and all i can say is WOW!This thing lets out a sound unlike anything else and scenery just rips by!

Called ken and chatted with him today and after talking to him again i cant wait to send these off this winter!If this quads this fast with minor bolt ons i can imagine how it will be with a good port job and cool head!

also are those rims all show no go, they looks super heavy.

No the wheels are pretty light in fact the shee came with some douglas wheels and these are lighter than they are.

Ive actually now got a pair of jets starting at 200-330 but jumping 2 jet sizes for an air filter is plenty i think.Toomey recommends 270-280 with the T5's and their uni 2 stage from the perfect jet kit.And i started at 270 but decided 280's felt better and a plug chop confirmed this.Then i added the k&n i had bought and then upped the jets 2 sizes for the k&n so im close if not on.

Yea the name was for the blaster when i started it back in 09.

I was just going to do a low budget friendly build that turned into a 240BBK oldschool flat tracker from when i was a kid.I only paid 125.00 for my blaster originally.

But the banshee i kinda knew going into it no matter how budget minded i tried to be that id say to hell with the budget i want this or that and thats how it went.

Ive got a couple thousand more to dump into it before im totally happy mostly being in the front suspension.

I just bought the wheels/tires mounted ready to go off ebay for 600 to my door.So far the tires grip real nice but ive only had them on the road and fields im not sure how well they do in sand.

i wouldnt care if they wouldnt grip rubber...they still look gnarly lol...im gonna order mine for a shee and install the shee axle and hubs, just dont what kind of tires im gonna go with yet....i want some that dont have the "balloon" look
