It is normal that the piston put up some resistance at TDC and BDC owing the rod going over centre.

If resistance is felt anywhere else then you have either a piston ring clipping a port or a bearing problem.

There may too be some debris in the combustion chamber that is fouling the piston at TDC.

One could remove the reeds to see if the piston skirt was still intact.

Ok thankyou very much i already took head off and checked rings it is only resiting in the one spot so its normal thankyou for ur help i bought it like this and it didnt have a cdi box and i ordered it just waiting so trying to go threw the motor and make sure all is good.

Is it resisting rotation on the dead centres, or elsewhere?

Resistance anywhere else is not normal.

When I said some resistance I meant only a little.

no it spins perfect until the piston is all the way down i think its all the way down.. its just the one spot once it passes that it spins all the way around again perfect till the one spot.

If it is resisting rotation any where than just before/just after BDC I would be doing some more investigations.
