crankcase on my yamaha blaster quad

my left hand side crankcase is cracked do i need 2 change both sides left and right? or can one side be changed independantly of the other?

also, with regards to getting a new crankcase does the year of manufacture(of bike) matter? or is it a one size fits all?

and if so is it possible to point me in the right direction with regards to suppliers?

you can change just one side. as for getting a new one, they can be welded or fixed by other means depending on where it's cracked. but if you really want a different case half i would first look on ebay.

so any blaster casing will work on my quad?

It will be a lot cheaper to get it fixed. I got mine fixed for $25 and been running over a year with no problem. I found a CNC shop that made dies for factorys in my area and they fixed it for me.

yes all years have the same engine. no difference
