crank seal bad?

Yb and some others told me before that if your crank seal is bad you'll get a lot of white smoke out the exhaust and bad performance. I have an oil leak in front of the exhaust and wont hold oil (stated in another post) i filled it up with oil and road it around today and started smoking bad out of the exhaust but there is no performance loss, it runs awesome. So what does that mean for me?

if a motor sits for a while the seal can dry out then when you run it they will crack

why not just change them out man its not hard one is behind the stator and one is behind the crank gear

seals are cheap and a few hrs of your time

I agree with YB wht not just change the seals? You dont even have to take the motor out.

its not that easy. It was a pain in the ass to slip my old case and my builder just smashed them back together, didn't use any bolts and the crank is stuck inside the left one.

Wow I think it is time to find a new builder bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ill take the bottom end if you plan on getting rid of it. I am looking for a complete trans for a spare set of cases I have.

i'd have that builder around the neck, that's a crock man, sure hope you aren't paying this guy to F*** you motor up like that, but don't give up just on bad experience find a new guy to work on it or something

If i have too much oil in the crank would that cause it to smoke and be coming out the exhaust? b/c like i said before it runs awesome
