Okay so as i posted in my intro i purchased a bike with a blown motor. i just got done going over everything in the bike and everything seems good. I personally dont know much about cranks, but the crank seemed to be in good condition. nothing lose no play with the rod and spun smoothly. originally i was told this was the problem but now im not sure. i did find the crank bearing was seized. and there is another bearing that is seized as well. how do i know if the crank itself is bad? My piston question is: i have been browsing the forums and ive read that the size of the piston is on the top of it with the numbers, the only numbers that are ontop of this piston is .50 does this mean its bored .50 over? Sorry to be so bothersome when i just joined. but i appreciate all of the help!

it sounds like your crank is ok.How does this small end of the rod look? How did the piston pin bearing look when you took it off.

the piston pin bearing looks and moves great. i just am curious if the number .50 on the top of the piston means its bored .50 over? so i know which rings to get

thats right, my bad it would have the last numbers for the size.......something like 1543236750......meaning the piston size was a 67.50mm....correct

replacing all that was what i had to do i burned out the needle barring in my crank and i could have just replaced that but it just made more sense to replace the whole thing with a new piston both wiseco it was pricey but when you do it you Know every thing is sound

ok finally came to the conclusion im going to buy new crank and piston and all. if i do decide to get the stroker +3 crank and .50 piston, will i need to upgrade the axels and drivetrain?
