so do you think thats the reason why my sprocket isnt spinning
if the pressure plate isn't moving outwards when the clutch lever is pulled, or is in the outwards most position, the clutch plates are not engaging the inner hub with the outer basket, which transfers the engine power to the transmission.
recheck the 2 dots alinged and/or re-adjust the rod.
was the clutch actuator arm in the rearwards position (aligned with the case notch) when you installed the rods/ball ?
if (because your missing the return spring) it was in a forward position, it could be past the flat spot on the arm, and holding the pressure plate out ?
as for spinning the clutch basket......
the inner hub is connected to the transmission,
not the basket < it is connected thru the gears to the crank,
spinning the clutch basket or crank will not turn the transmission, unless the clutch is engaged and turning the inner hub.
or am i having a de da dee moment here ?
