I recently posted a pic from a other thread about my clutch lever well I put it back in just wondering when I move the piston up and down and it's in gear the sprocket where the chain goes doesn't move is it supposed to just making sure I didn't mess anything up

Do you have the clutch assembled? Most times when "static" testing a trans you have to spin either shaft as you move shifter to actually engage a gear.

The whole clutch is assembled I had to take the rod and ball out to get the clutch lever back in but when I turn the piston where the sprocket goes it won't move

If you spin the clutch basket by hand the motor spins? But trans output shaft (chain sprocket) does not?

Your last post is confusing, there are gears but no sprocket on clutch side of engine. Not trying to be a$$, but piston does not spin it goes up and down, crankshaft spins.

Possibly did not assemble clutch correctly.

With it in gear it is very hard to turn the sprocket by hand owing to the resistance of the motor.

With it out of gear you should be able to revolve the sprocket by hand.

What will it or won't it do?

I know it is very confusing sorry when I rotate the clutch the piston will go up and down but if I put it in gear the sprocket won't spin is that normal

When in neutral and rotating the clutch basket the sprocket should have little to no resistance (you can hold it from rotating).

When in any gear and rotating the clutch basket the sprocket should have full resistance (you should not be able to stop it from rotating).

But it doesn't rotate in neutral or any gear while rotating the clutch basket tho .. I can rotate it by hand while in neutral and when it's in gear it will not rotate ... My concern is while rotating the clutch basket and its in gear the sprocket should be moving

I have the clutch clover off .. And the dots are lined up and I put the long rod in first then the ball then the other rod

Well I'm missing the spring which is coming in the mail but no they don't move but how could you install the rods wrong its just the rod the ball then the other rod right ?
