i dont think this is the one that works with our blasters. the first pic looks like it but from the other side where you can see the expansion chamber on the pipe its not right. 87 was the last year of the good ones

Edit: it deffinitly isnt just thought the good ones have a pipe that comes off the left side 84-87

So is the 1989 the WR/IT based one? Nothing will interchange with the blaster?

yea the 88 is the start of the wr/it model. there not that rare, most common of all the dts the ones were looking for are only from the 4 years before. i used an 84 topend on my first built blaster which the waterpump was a direct bolton to the blaster bottom end. i have an 87 complete dt but some say the final drive is much different so the pump dosnt line with the blasters gear. ill figure this out in time when i try it with the 87 setup.......maybe the 84 dts have the same finals as the blaster and the 87 dont i dono.... maybe someone was wrong
