clutch

ether a gear oil made for power sports trans missions or belray gear saver is some good stuff... or any quality 'wet clutch' motor cycle oil, i run honda hp4 10/40? in my 250x since it feeds the motor and the trans, my buddy uses the hp4 in his lt250r, per dealer recommendations..

basicly ANY 'wet clutch' motor cycle or atv oil...

well i hAVENT RAN IT THAT MUCH I HOPE I HAVENTMESSED ANYTHING UP.LOL THEY R LIKE BRAND NEW. AND WOULD YA KNO ANYTHING ON JETTING?

did you pull a boner like i did and put regular car oil in?? pull your clutch out asap and clean the disks off with brake cleaner and flush out trans with brake cleaner.. than put in the proper oil, run it threw the gears for a few minutes than change it again and you should be fine...

thats what i did on my 200x and it helpd alot.. would start to slip slightly in low rpm after about a hour of riding.. but i also ran the car oil for 2 weeks before i learned my no no

and know some aBOUT jetting

ya im gonna chane it tommrow mornin lol

ya cause i have a 240 kit on my baslter with a 340 main jetand it still bogs while smashing on it

it bog just in the low end or boggy all threw the rpms?? could just need to adjust your a/f screw, or maybe drop down a jet size.. hows your plug look??

also ditch the boost bottle, everyone says there a waste of money and also hurt performance

take the clutch cover off, look at your friction plates, saee if they look thin and worn..look at the steel plates , see if they have blue burnt marks on em,or appear to be warped...if so then buy a tusk clutch kit from rocky mountain or local dealer...if not...
then either invest in some stiffer springs, or theres a cheap little trick you can do...
go to your local hard wear store and buy some washers, add one washer behind each spring, make sure its the right size , dont wanna go too thick, the thicker you go the harder your clutch will be to pull.....its a nice trick that stiffens up your springs. ive done it a million times..just another little clutch mod !!! if you go tthe extra money new springs is the way to go though...
if your plates are in good shape then you definitly have to stiffen up those springs. other then cable adjustment the springs is the only other thing that causes slippage (if your plates are in good shape of coarse and your running GOOD GEAR OIL) i use Flex Drive 30 Synthetic Gear Lube
