ok i put a new clutch in and now i have no clutch.i tried to adjust it and nothing.there not even any clutch and the handle

did you remember the small ball bering between the two shafts? Also, check to make sure the dots on the basket and the pressure plate both match up. If they are not, then the clutch will never work.
i didnt see a ball bearing but i was just lookin at the schematic and see it.is that little rod suposse to come out?b/c mine came out
well i found the ball bearing you was talkiing about its was on the garage floor.suprised i found it but i still cant get the clutch to work
i got it to have clutch thru the handle but when i try to put it in gear it stalls out like the clutch is no being pulled in.but i just hit the gas when i put it in gear and putted around the yard and on the second time it locked up and shut off.i took it apart and my pressure plate and springs and clutch basket were broke so now i have to buy a new clutch basket and pressure plate but found them on ebay for $60
no i put the ball bearing back in before that happen.im just gonna take it to someone i know that use to work at our local shop when i get the parts because he im suposse to take it to him so he can get it all jetted right anyway
i had the same problems with a clutch i tried to do when i had a 03 cr85 but then i finally got that right after a week
Sounds just like the one I just fixed for a guy. he said he put in a clutch and it will not release. He just got his blaster and just power shifted for a while. Brought the motor to me to fix. What I found was,,,first the cover had a crack and some bolts missing, took it off and he had 4 of the 5 screws holding the pressure plate. None of the screws were the right kind and wrong washers. The washer was too wide for the hole so it was clamping the clutch down. One of the inner basket bolt holes was broken off too. So I took all that off and then took the clutch basket off and found weird shims of plastic behind that. So I went to take the clutch rod out and because the clutch was clamped it mushroomed over the rod by the swivel arm side. Had to grind that down so the rod(which was also broken in pieces) would all slide out. I put my clutch from my motor with all my parts on like text book says. It adjusted great and works good,,,So what Im saying is,,make sure you have the right hardware,the basket lined up right, all the hardware tightened to spec,and test it before you put the cover on. you might have something like your kickstart spring fall into it and break stuff too..
its all the right hardware and i put everything back in how it was suposse to be but im clueless of how it broke everything like the pressure plate and the clutch basket.it even broke like 2 or springs in half and twisted them up and bent to screws the go for the springs
