Clutch turning itself loose?

Hi guys I just replaced my clutch for the second time. The adjustment nut on the pushrod keeps on turning loose resulting in no clutch after a kilometre or two and I'm starting to get pissed of at having to do the same thing over and over. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

are you running a pancake bearing clutsh adjuster or a stock? It most likley is put in incorrectly, if you could post pics that would help.

you tighten the locknut right?

off the top of my head the locknut torque is @15-20ftlbs

when you put on the clutch you have to remember to curl the washer back up again around the nut on one side otherwise the nut will loosen up and the basket will get loose and cause damage. thats why the washer is serrated to fit on the basket shaft so it won't spin to hold the nut on if it gets loose.

i don't think he's talking about the nut on the basket. i think he's talkin about the philips head bolt on the pressure plate that controls the actuator arm adjustment.....
have you tried using locktite on it?

i had the same problem with mine just get it nut real tight and u should be good

Be careful though, overtightening the nut will cause the adjuster to break causing a whole new set of problems. I'm not a big fan of loose parts flying around in my transmission...

Thanks for the replies, been real busy at work lately! Will open the blasty this afternoon and loctite the nut... hope that will keep it in place!
