this ring on the clutch basket snapped during removal.. but it dosent look like it exist on any diagrams or worksheets from manuels and whatnot..

Can anybody tell me what it is? maybe a part no... I looks like a giant piston ring! only fully closed..

Here is the broken ring..

its a wave ring or whatever it's called .look closer at the diagrams it should be there it's one of the first things that goes on. look at the blaster book on this site.

its a cushion spring for the clutch when you put your clutch plates in you'll have one friction disc with a bigger inside diameter when you install the clutch you put one normal friction disc in first than a steel than the friction with the bigger inside diameter and then that cushion spring sets inside that disc and then you put the rest of the steels and frictions in

FLOTEK: What do you mean i wasted the money? It must be there for a reason.. although i agree its a total ripoff... I just wanna make the whole build complete you know.. no missing part and whatnot.. :-)

All you needed to do was to order another friction disc without the larger ID and install without the spring. That would have been a lot less expensive.
