Clutch push rod problem

Yes there is a air filter on it, it's a k&n which I just recently cleaned with k&n cleaner and the oil that comes with it. Can the air to fuel mixture mess with the throttle response?
Has the problem started since you oiled the filter?

How oily was the filter before washing?

What did you wash it with?

Pinging noises do come from the area of the head and you are right to be concerned.

Are you very sure that you assembled the clutch correctly.

It would pay to retrace your steps and make sure on the clutch.

Have you done anything other than clean the air filter that would change your breathing.

In relation to pulling it apart to check for detonation, you cannot always see the effects of it at its onset, piston damage does not always show up immediately it starts.

Your best route to go if you suspect a destructive AFR, is to clean the jets and carb, set the float and idle, leak test and then plug chop to confirm.

Do not go ripping things apart, it could be a simple fix like a bit of crap lodged in a jet or something minor.

Yes it just started but after the cleaned filter was put in and before we cleaned it, it was caked with mud and sand. I washed it with the real k&n air filter cleaner and spray and let it sit for a day to dry out. As for the clutch it's probably the 15th time taking it apart and re doing the plates and it shifts fine and I did the alignment for it to so it should be fine. I have really only done work to the clutch and took out the carb to clean the jets a few times other than that I never really touched much else besides the spark plug. ( which I think is fowled now that something's off with the mixture). To clean the jets could I use this cleaning element called seafoam I've heard it gets all through the lines and carb and cleans out all the crap in there. Would that work?

i have some off that to but for other things. If it cleans the crap out where is it going to go? Well it going to go through your motor, reeds ect..if you already took carb apart and want to do it again then just do it ...soak those two jets in carb cleaner in a bowl or cup, clean rest of carb ect....you dont want dirt of any kind going in your motor if that stuff lifts crap up then its going to go through your motor....that stuff is not recommended for atv ,dirt bike because of the dirt involved:) oh yeah whatever it cleans from your tank will go through carb to,then through your motor lol :) it also make motors smoke and stinky for the first few minutes or so on.

I already took out the carb before and unscrewed the main jet to clean it. I drenched the thing in carb cleaner and put it back in.

I read that the plug is fouled, this usually means that either the mixture is way too rich, or has way too much oil.

Have you tried a new plug?

What oil do you use and what ratio?

How much oil did you put on the filter and did you squeeze out the excess?

you said you took out main jet....did you take out pilot jet? that is more likely to be clogged because it is so small,it is way up in the carb right next to main jet,you need a small flat head screwdriver to get it out??

X2 /\, also just soaking the pilot in cleaner is not enough you have to physically clean it out with something like a bristle from a wire brush.

Is the brass washer under the main jet?
