i was wondering how a man goes about dropping a clutch push lever in the case with out spliting the case can you just loosen off the clutch spring?
thanks, courjaco

Well bro, you remove the clutch cover, take the pressure plate, friction plates and metal plates out. tip the bike to the right until the little ball bearing falls out and the long rod, helps to lay a blanket on the ground to catch them two items or you'll be looking for the ball bearing forever. Also helps to have a partner to help ya I had to tap on the motor to get the rod to move, didn't come out but moved enough to get the lever in there. ( only reason i suggest this way is that rod can move in and then you'll be fighting trying to get the lever in there)

Just make sure you put the BB in there or you'll be asking why your clutch doesn't work.-Bob

You can access the pushrod through the clutch cover (as cole said) by removing the clutch pressure plate.

A lot of times the transmission lube keeps the rod from coming out of the shaft easily. You may have to turn the case up on it's right side and shake it to get the whole shaft and ball to come out. If you don't remove the cases from the frame, this can be problematic obviously. Compressed air sometimes will get it out, you can pull the cable arm up and out of the case and then pressurize the hole it comes out of. That will blow the pushrod out. You just have to make sure you properly reinstall the cable arm before you install the pushrod or the pushrod will "lock-out" the cable arm.

i once couldnt remember if i had put the ball bearing in that fits between the two rods or if i had lost is, couldnt get it out so i stuck a drinking straw up the shaft and the ball stuck in the straw....i pulled it out and there it was!:) i thought i was very smart ;)
