Clutch Problems

Just a couple weeks ago I shattered a clutch basket which locked up the motor at full throttle. I got my new used parts and put them on. My clutch assembly moves up and down a little bit if I spin it. Will this hurt anything?? Is it possible to have bent the main axle that comes out and holds the clutch basket and to get a new one of these would I have to split the cases?

sounds like the input shaft might be bent,take the basket back off and turn it see what it does.If it is youll need to split the cases and swap it out for a new one.

I took the clutch basket off and the input shaft dosent appear to be bent when I spin it. Maybe the used clutch basket I bought is somehow out of round? Could that be possible? I would think its pretty hard to bend that input shaft b/c it looks like a pretty substantial piece of metal.
