I have extended A-arms not sure on my swing arm tho i know its not the stock one far as i know.

I rode briefly a couple summers ago with no heel guards. Keyword is briefly. In the month or so that they were of, my foot had slipped behind my nerf bars. Luckily nothing major happened, it didn't get stuck on the tire or anything, but certainly had my heart racing.
