Checking Stator

I have an 01 Blaster with no spark..Trying to figure out which wires coming from the stator goes to the cdi box than the coil under the seat..Just trying to find out without replacing what I dont need..Anyone know the easiest way to check everything? I would greatly appreciate it..Thanks Kurt

unplug the harness that comes out of the stator

and get a voltmeter and set it to ohms x 1k

touch each lead to the 2 wires coming from the stator , it should read over 200ohms .. mine had 222-223

Thanks man it was actually the guy that owned the bike before me cut wires up by key and twisted a ground wire to the brown wire and s black wire with white stripe to the orange and yellow wire coming off key..He had the wires electrical taped and didnt relize because it was up behind light.I ended up taking that ground and grounding it where the TORS was mounted and the bike fired right up..Thanks guys for all the help..Kurt

On the 01 model you do not need the yellow/red wire comong from the stator. The other 3 are the only one needed to run the bike.
