changine oil in motor

ok so my mum brought me back some oil but i dont know if its any good its need help its castrol power 1 4t 10w - 40 fully synthetic it says on the back ..... SAE 10w-40; JASO MA-2 (JASO T903: 2006); API SL is this any good ?

dident you already have a thread about this and imo if it says motorcycle or arv oil it should be fine

look to see if it says " friction modifiers " and if it does , don't use it. That type will waste your clutch. Otherwise it shall be fine.

the only thing i see is it minimizes internal friction even under the most arduous riding conditions

im not sure if its good or not but, if it was me i would just buy gear oil because its made for transmissions in atv's and dirtbikes and plus why risk it, just get the right stuff and you are worry free and its easier on the clutch. thats my opinion

thats what i would do, and also i would reccomend a clymers manual its very helpful and tells what oil it can use and pretty much anything else you can think of

yea it probally would work fine but im just saying gear oil is better in MY opinion but hey if you wanna use it and its ok then go for it

I run motorcycle engine oil because i can't stand the smell of gear oil. I have no issues with it. just a bit more expensive

Yes that oil will work fine for you. nothing wrong for it. it is designed for a wet clutch application which is what you have

nothing. it is made for a motorcycle type transmission with a wet clutch. that is what you have. it is designed for that type of motor. stop worrying. lol

Use nothing better than SF classification.

Pure and simple 10w30 motor oil with no friction modifiers.

You can use Auto transmission fluid type F, it works just fine.
