i ordered a 14 tooth sprocket for my blaster and i have a quesiton n then help. do yall think that since the bike has the stock chain and its already pretty loose and strectched that i can get the sprocket in without gettin a new chain. and the other thing is how do i get the chain off the stock sprocket and on the new one. :-D

its best to replace both sprockets an the chain at the same time if 1 of the 3 is worn out it will wear the others out quicker and the stock length chain will fit with the 14 tooth front just loosen the 2 bolts that hold the carrier in an loosen the chain adjusters then pull the carrier back till the chain is where you want it an tighten it all back down an the chain has a master link in it just find it an remove it to get the chain off

theyre the 2 metal pieces that come off the back of the axle carrier that have a bolt in the end of them that has a lock nut theyre for straightening the axle

yes 14/40 is the most common gearing....get both sprockets and chain at the same time like stated above or thet will wear fast

Yes a 14 tooth front sprocket will give you more top speed / more power on the high end of the RPM range while a smaller front sprocket will give you more power at the low end of the RPM range and less top speed. Blasters are geared low from the factory I think so a 14 in the front is preferred by most.
